After a long struggle, his well-deserved Ricardo Larraín Law – which protects the rights of Chilean screenwriters and directors – sanctioned in 2016 by the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, the official publication of ATN rates just last September 22, ATN has made contact with TV channels, cable operators, movie theaters, etc. to start negotiations on the payment of author’s rights.
This means that all audiovisual works exhibited publicly, belonging to the directors and screenwriters affiliated to ATN and its network of international companies, have already begun to generate rights legally, from the date indicated.
To achieve success in this process, it is essential that every director and screenwriter has DECLARED THEIR WORKS IN ATN, because only then can they access the benefit of collecting their rights.
